The relationship between the Hotel Heffterhof and culinary indulgence runs deep. Our roots in the field of agriculture explain the affinity to regionally-sourced products and how to process them. Head chef Sebastian Braun has been awarded the AMA Gastro Seal and places great emphasis on finding local suppliers. We also organise wine tasting sessions and provide ideas on how best to use natural resources. Partnerships with initiatives such as GENUSS REGION AUSTRIA, ‘Best Austrian Hospitality’ and BIO-Austria highlight our corporate philosophy. The environmental aspect is of great importance to us. We try to limit our CO2 emissions and energy consumption to a minimum, prioritise domestic goods and minimise transport distances for ingredients we can’t source locally. Since 2007 there have been many products available from GENUSS REGION ÖSTERREICH. There are weekly and seasonal points of focus according to natural availability. The kitchen team ensure seasonally available goods are served up as delicious dishes. In the tourist industry in particular it is important to show off the culinary sides of Austria – in the most aesthetic and tasty way. Indeed, the tradition of being able to savour the good life and the great food available is something we gladly uphold at Hotel Heffterhof.
