Austrian Ecolabel for Tourism Businesses

Our hotel has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for Tourism Businesses. If each of us takes on a share of environmental responsibility, we will be able to enjoy the “wonder of nature” for a long time to come.

• What is the Ecolabel?
  The Ecolabel for Tourism Businesses is awarded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management. It recognizes businesses that voluntarily meet environmental criteria. These criteria apply to all areas of the hotel – food, kitchen, service, laundry and cleaning, equipment and furnishings, energy supply and energy saving, water and waste, to name just a few – and have a positive impact on our environment.
• What we have to do
  Every individual employee of Hotel Heffterhof must familiarize themselves with the criteria relevant to their area of work and implement them to the best of their knowledge and ability.

In order to continue using the designation “Ecolabel-certified business”, we need your support: If you notice any environmentally relevant improvements or come up with new ways of implementing them, please let us know.

• ADAPTERS
  Various adapters are available to borrow at reception. We kindly ask for your understanding that a deposit of €10.00 will be added to your bill until the adapter is returned.
• PHARMACY
  The Borromäus Pharmacy can be reached on foot in approx. 10 minutes or by trolleybus, two stops towards the city centre (Gaisbergstr. 20, 5020 Salzburg, Tel.: +43 662 643655, Opening hours: Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00, Sat 08:00–12:00)
• BABY COT
  We are happy to provide you with a baby cot free of charge. Please contact reception, extension 400.
• BANKS / ATM
  There are three banks with ATMs in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Location information is available at reception.

• PAYMENT
  In addition to cash and debit cards, we accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, American Express.
• PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB
  If you do not wish to be disturbed in your room, please hang the “PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB” sign on your room door. Please also inform reception if you do not want telephone calls to be put through to your room. Please note, however, that we can no longer clean your room after 2:00 p.m.
• BUS = TROLLEYBUS
  Opposite the hotel is the “Maria-Cebotari-Straße” bus stop for trolleybus line 6, with direct connections to the city centre and the train station. Buses run every 15 minutes from Monday to Friday, and every 20 minutes at weekends, at night and on public holidays. Timetables are available at reception.
• CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
  On the day of arrival, your room will be ready from 3:00 p.m. On the day of departure, your room is available until 11:00 a.m. After that, we will be happy to store your luggage until your departure.
• SHOPPING
  From small craft businesses to large shopping centres, Salzburg offers a wide range of shopping opportunities. Suggestions and information are available at reception.

  Enjoy our generous “Salzburg Genuss Breakfast” buffet with regional products from local agriculture in the restaurant.

• FIRE / FIRE ALARM
  The hotel is equipped with smoke detectors. In the event of a fire, please report it immediately to reception, extension 400, or activate the nearest manual fire alarm button. Fire extinguishers are located on every floor. For your own safety, please familiarize yourself with the escape plan in your room. In the event of a fire alarm, you will be warned by an internal siren. Please remain calm and leave the building via the marked emergency exits and staircases. PLEASE NOTE: In the event of a fire, the lift will automatically be taken out of service. Please use the stairs only.
• FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
  Fire extinguishers are located on every floor. Please check their location.
  
• ESCAPE ROUTES
  An escape route plan is displayed in your room.
• AIRPORT
  Salzburg Airport W. A. Mozart is approx. 15 km away. It can be reached by public transport — information is available at reception — or by taxi. Travel time: approx. 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
• LOST PROPERTY
  All items found in the hotel are handed in at reception.
• VOUCHERS
  Hotel vouchers for your loved ones at home can be purchased directly at reception.
• PETS
  Pets are welcome at our hotel. For the necessary cleaning, we charge a service fee of €15.00 per night.
• COPIES
  We will be happy to make copies for you. Current prices are available at reception.
• MINIBAR
  For environmental reasons, we do not provide minibars in the rooms. Our snack and drinks vending machine in the lobby offers a wide selection of drinks, snacks and healthy treats..
• WASTE SEPARATION
  As an ecolabel-certified business, we separate our waste. For guests who would like to support us in this, a waste collection point for paper, packaging and residual waste is available in the foyer in front of the Salzburg Hall. Coin insertion only.
• PARKING
  The hotel provides free parking spaces for cars and buses for the duration of your stay.
• POST
  We will be happy to post your mail for you. Stamps are available at all post offices and tobacconists.
  
• SMOKING
  Hotel Heffterhof is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking areas can be found in front of each side entrance. Please do not smoke in front of the main entrance or in the rooms. We kindly ask for your understanding that guests who smoke in the room will be charged a cleaning fee of €100.00.
• RESTAURANT
  Enjoy culinary delights in the restaurant, on the terrace and in our Gaisbergstube.
  Breakfast: Monday–Saturday 07:00–10:00, Sunday and public holidays 07:00–11:00
  Opening hours for lunch and dinner vary. The reception team will be happy to provide you with up-to-date information. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

  A safe for your valuables is located in the wardrobe in your room.
• SNACK AND DRINKS VENDING MACHINE
  A vending machine with drinks, chocolate, wholesome snacks and treats can be found in the lobby.
• SEMINAR ROOMS
  Hotel Heffterhof has 12 seminar rooms for up to 250 people. Our events department will be happy to provide information and guided tours of the hotel.

• TOILETRIES
  We provide soap and shampoo in your bathroom. Forgotten something? Various hygiene products are available at reception.
• WI-FI
  Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms, lobby, bar area, Birkenallee and seminar and conference rooms. Login details are available at reception or on the first page of this folder.
• LAUNDRY / CLEANING
  We are happy to offer washing and/or ironing services for your personal clothing. You can hand in your laundry at reception.
  Washing per machine: €15.00
  Ironing per started 15 minutes: €15.00
• ROOM CLEANING
  Our room service takes place daily between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. If you do not wish your room to be cleaned, please indicate this by hanging the sign on your door handle.
• ROOM KEY
  Please keep your room key with you during your stay. Our entrance doors lock automatically in the evenings and at weekends. With your room key, you can access the hotel through the main entrance at any time. To do so, hold the black key head directly in front of the electronic door opener — red dot on the wall to the left of the main entrance door — and the door will open automatically. Please note that we charge €50.00 in the event of key loss.
• ROOM TEMPERATURE
  Heating thermostat set to: Your room has a constant temperature of 21 degrees Celsius.
• NEWSPAPERS
  Daily newspapers and magazines are available in the restaurant, bar area and lobby.
